Who is Intermundo?
The Intermundo organization is the educational partner of Swiss schools.
In coordination and cooperation with the schools, all Intermundo members organize sustainable and instructive exchange programs so that young people can get to know many experiences and new cultures.
The goals of Intermundo members are to bring foreign cultures closer to the students, to enable them to acquire intercultural skills and to experience new things. The Intermundo members support Swiss schools in education. They all strive to create optimal conditions for a successful exchange. For this purpose, they all offer exchange programs at various events at Swiss schools, so that the respective exchange officers have the opportunity to network. Intermundo also maintains a download platform for teachers - www.intermundo.ch/schools.
All members of the Intermundo organization work according to the non-profit principle. This principle ensures that any financial surpluses are invested in scholarships or in the development of new programs.
In order to create the basis for a successful exchange, the host families of the Intermundo organizations accept the young people out of interest in the other person and not because of the financial incentive. All Intermundo organizations attach great importance to an appropriate preparation and follow-up of the exchange. This enables the participants of the program to deal consciously and reflectively with the experience they had during the exchange. It also promotes the development of personal and social skills.
