With LGA to New Zealand

Located in the Southwest Pacific, New Zealand consists of 2 main islands, both of which are characterized by volcanoes and glaciation. The North Island is much more densely populated than the narrow South Island and is divided into nine regions. The South Island is surrounded by the ?Southern Alps? determined, a nearly 4000 meter high mountain range. Due to the great distance to other countries and continents, there are plants and animals in New Zealand that only exist there. Examples are the tree ferns, which are over 10 meters tall, and the kiwi, a nocturnal, flightless bird.

Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and a cultural center with its own flair.

Our partner in New Zealand

We work directly with various schools. Each of them has an "International Student Coordinator" who is available to you and your host family with advice and action and who is also in close contact with us. You can choose your desired region. Depending on your interests and expectations, we will make you several school suggestions. Please note that the school administration always decides on the definitive admission.

Schools

Great importance is attached to the promotion of personality and talents. The teachers are very helpful and patient. You pay school fees to attend a New Zealand school. All-girls or all-boys schools are very common. This may sound a bit unusual, but it has many advantages. The division into classes is based on age. The so-called "Outdoor Education Programs" are something special in New Zealand. These are offered in almost all schools. The school year runs from late January/early February to December. A start in April or July is also possible.

Host families

Each school sets its own host family requirements. New Zealand families are very keen on hosting international students ? sometimes even several at the same time with different nationalities. You share everyday life with the family and, like all other family members, have the same rights and obligations. Be open, helpful and follow the house rules. In this way you will certainly settle in very quickly and enjoy life in New Zealand!
